Green Tip: Don’t use paper or plastic bags at the grocery store! Instead, why not give canvas bags a try? Canvas bags are efficient/reusable alternatives to paper and plastic bags that can bring years of service. Best of all, they’ll never rip or tear since they’re stronger than both paper and plastic bags.

Tip -

Unplug your electric tooth brush charger when the device is fully charged.  It’ll run for weeks without a recharge.

Leaving it plugged in  is like leaving a  low wattage light bulb on 24/7!

You can take steps every day to lessen the impact you make on the earth and make every day Earth Day:

  • Reduce, reuse, recycle!
  • Turning down the thermostat five degrees saves about 10% on your heating bill.
  • Set your hot water heater to 140 degrees in warmer weather.
  • Choose compact fluorescent light bulbs; they use about one quarter of the
    energy of regular light bulbs.
  • Consider installing ceiling fans — they cool in the summer and circulate warm air in winter.
  • In sunny weather, hang out your laundry to dry for a lovely fresh smell and great energy savings.
