The 12- and 13-year-olds under the direction of teachers Erika Wahlers and Eric Pecor joined 300 tuba and euphonium players from as far away as England, Germany and Alaska—some as old as 77—who gathered in front of the world’s most famous Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center this week to serenade thousands of passersby with Christmas carols.
