A staple of Danbury, CT for over 40 years has been demolished. Generation after generation at some point frequented the iconic venue on Ives Street - TUXEDO JUNCTION where legendary bands would play live on stage week after week and DJ's would call home. From the rock nights to the college parties, Tuxedo Junction was a staple in nightlife not only for Connecticut but for patrons from the surrounding tri-state area. Once owned by Mike Roviello and Al Caccamo, who also owned Streets North/Polo's in Brewster and Streets in New Rochelle, they took nightlife in Danbury to heights it had never seen before.
While things change and times change, the city is in a revival after the building has been closed for some time and current plans are to rebuild and put in a $20 million dollar bank headquarters.
The memories we all have from Tuxedo Junction "Tuxedos" will surely live on forever. It's the end of an era.....
